Tak has been a Cardio Kick Boxing Instructor at Kick N’ Box for 15 years, he is our head instructor and mentor. Tak was the pioneer of this form of exercise in Adelaide and has been publicly recognised for his excellence in the industry.In the 20 years before coming to Adelaide, Tak trained and studied Kung Fu in London.
Tak’s classes are cardio intensive with attention to correct technique and flow of movement. His classes will change you and challenge you. An absolute must for any kick boxing enthusiast of any level of ability.

Tak also trains and mentors clients privately from Kick N’ Box. He specialises in providing coaching in Kick Boxing and self defence techniques.

I have been involved in the fitness industry since 2005 and will continue to work hard to foster the growth of Kick N’ Box whilst still maintaining the unique fitness experience that it is today.
I get a real buzz from taking group fitness classes. My Kick Boxing classes consist of basic level Boxing and Kick Boxing combinations mixed in with functional body weight exercises specific to the requirements of Kick Boxing.
In Cross Core classes I focus on working all major muscle groups as well as giving attention to attendees cardio vascular health through functional exercises. My Cross Core Classes are a high intensity, virtually non stop 45 minute workout.
All my classes are aimed at any level of fitness and ability. I am always happy to chat about your health and fitness questions and suggestions you might have to improve the Kick N’ Box experience.

Since finishing a degree in management in 2009 I have worked with different organisations, primarily in a management role. Most recently I worked in the corporate division of the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Its the customer service skills I learnt in these positions that I will take with me to Kick N’ Box.
I grew up around the Norwood area and just love this community. Its this community spirit at Kick N’ Box that I will strive to champion in my role here. Since pairing up with Josh, we both have been drawn to the opportunity to do what we are passionate about together at Kick N’ Box.
My role here is to be a point of contact for our fantastic members. With so many different trainers here at all times of the day it can be hard to pin them down. If you have any questions about Kick N’ Box administration or your health and fitness needs don’t be backward in coming forward. I can assist you, or at the very least, have the right person contact you with the answers you want.

Mary is currently a Doctor in Research in the disciplines of psychology and child protection at the Australian Centre for Child Protection at the University of South Australia. Her current role involves evaluating the child protection system in Western Australia and building the evidence base of what works in child protection and supporting families.
Mary applies the same principles to her approach in exercise, nutrition and training instruction, where she draws on the best available evidence of what works and implements these to her clients.
Mary has a strong passion for fitness and advocates for the psychological benefits (especially a strong mental fortitude) that a healthy lifestyle can bring to people. Mary specialises in strength and muscular training, cardio kick boxing, boot camp style workouts and high intensity interval training.
Mary’s goal during her sessions is to push clients to their mental limits!

Amalia joined the Kick N’ Box family in 2015, bringing with her a vast range of knowledge and experience. Amalia’s classes quickly became very popular due to the energy and meticulous planning she puts into every session. She now has a huge following for both Kick Boxing and Cross Core.

My vision for Kick n’ Box is to provide a fitness studio that not only offers the highest quality fitness classes, but features excellent instructors who deliver a fun and unique experience for all members.
A community environment where members feel comfortable irrespective of their abilities. A place where members can gain more than just a workout, including exercise knowledge and body awareness but also friendship and social connection.
I am passionate about educating and sharing my knowledge in the fitness field. I focus on the body’s function, posture and how to be efficient and effective when aiming to achieve fitness goals.
I have a strong focus on Recovery and Functional Body Movement. I am the in house Remedial Massage Therapist, tailoring treatments to each individual and their needs, with a deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy approach.
My motivation and thrill within Kick n’ Box comes from when members personally accomplish things greater than they thought they could, and perform a skill they thought was impossible. I enjoy the smile from members that shines through the grimace of smashing a tough workout!
I endeavour to embody all of this through my role at Kick N’ Box as a Remedial Massage Therapist, Cross Core Instructor and Personal Trainer.

Tamara joined the Kick N’ Box family in 2015, bringing with her a vast range of knowledge from her time at other gyms, since then she has grown and developed into a Kick Boxing instructor and Personal Trainer that embodies all the values that we pride our selves on at Kick N’ Box. Passion, Skill and Energy are a few words that come to mind when describing Tamara’s classes and Personal Training sessions.
Tamara has brought with her a large following of loyal clients and members that make her classes fun filled with an exciting and team building vibe that has to be experienced for your self. Her Kick Boxing classes consist of introductory level combinations with various plyometric functional exercises between each set. Her high intensity classes will get your blood pumping and energy levels sky high!
Tamara specializes in her Personal Training services, where she rarely has vacancies so be sure to get in quick if you are thinking of getting some extra training which we cant recommend highly enough.

Wendy is the newest member of the Kick N’ Box Team! Well sort of. Wendy has been in the fitness industry for over a decade, teaching fitness classes when Lycra was a thing.
Wendy has personally trained the likes of Claudia Schaffer, Madonna and the late Eartha Kitt She has met and worked with some of the worlds top instructors. Suffice to say that Kick N’ Box is blessed to be working along side and learning from Wendy.
Wendy’s Cross Core classes will challenge the fittest of athletes while still being suitable for beginners who wish to go at their own pace. Either way Wendy will ensure you are doing exercises the right way with her fierce focus on form.

Joe specialises in cardio Kick Boxing, boot camp style workouts, interval and endurance training. More recently, he has focused on strength and weight training, which his private Personal Training clients have been the beneficiary of. Joe trains private clients and small groups, using Kick N’ Box Fitness Studio as his base.

I Spent the first 25 years of my life in England before moving to Australia 10 years ago. I have been involved in Martial Arts for 2 decades and the majority of my training has been in Taekwondo. 5 years ago I turned my focus to a fitness style training when I joined as a member of Kick N’ Box and have recently completed my Certificate 3 in Fitness Instruction.
I am so passionate about making a difference to the society we live in. Taking fitness classes and seeing the difference it makes to members through increased self image and self confidence is the key driver to what I do here.
My classes are a huge cardio vascular workout and involve numerous boxing and kick boxing combinations in addition to body weight strength and conditioning exercises. My combinations range from introductory level to advanced level through out the duration of the class. I pride myself on being at an advanced level with respect to punching and kicking technique and will endeavour to pass my knowledge and skill on to anyone who wants it.
My goal is for people who do my classes to walk away having learn’t something about self defence as well as having had a great work out.

Nick joined Kick N’ Box as a 16 year old lad some time ago, he developed a love and passion for Kick Boxing from that young age. He was days away from making a professional appearance at Knees of Fury when, unfortunately, his opponent succumbed to injury. Shortly after Nick’s professional career was ended by injury as well. Nick then became an instructor at Kick N’ Box and has been with us for a number of years now making that Wednesday 6am time slot his own.

Nick’s classes consist of intermediate to advanced level boxing and kick boxing combinations with a strict focus on correct form. Kick Boxing specific strength and conditioning exercises are also a staple of his class.
Nick’s high intensity sessions also focus on building core strength with his famous, “6 minute abs”!

Abbey has an energy that brings Kick N’ Box to life every time she steps foot in side the Fitness Studio. Abbey was born into a boxing family meaning ever since she was old enough to hold focus mitts she was holding them for her dad. These years of experience shines through with her vast range of boxing combinations that have members feeling strong and empowered after finishing her classes.
